Undergraduate Matt Herman receives awards to conduct linguistic field research in Uganda this summer!

Undergraduate Matt Herman has received awards from the UD Alumni Association and the Office of Service Learning to travel to Uganda this summer for linguistic field research. Matt will work with Prof. Irene Vogel on documenting the Rutwa language of southwestern Uganda - a language that is very endangered, and may be lost in the near future.

Evan Bradley awarded the Teaching Conference Travel Fellowship for Doctoral Candidates!

Linguistics PhD student Evan Bradley has been awarded the awarded the Teaching Conference Travel Fellowship for Doctoral Candidates, co-sponsored by the Office of Graduate & Professional Education and the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).  Along with 13 other doctoral candidates at UD, Evan will participate in the Lilly D.C. Conference on College and University Teaching. Congratulations Evan!

PhD students Timothy O'Neill and Anne Peng receive Global Research Awards for their research!

PhD students Timothy O'Neill and Anne Peng have received funding from the graduate division's program "Support for Global Research, Internships, and Performances for Graduate Students at the University of Delaware" for their dissertation research on understudied languages in Madagascar and Indonesia, respectively.
